Our Services

• Structured: 

Students progress systematically through the Barton Reading & Spelling System earning certificates after completing each level. The step-by-step program explicitly teaches the rules of English to build a strong foundation for reading and spelling. This form of tutoring breaks down complex skills into small, manageable steps, and each lesson builds on the previous one, ensuring students master one concept before moving to the next.  

• Intensive:

Two or more 50-minute tutoring sessions are taught per week. This helps your student begin to close their reading gap instead of falling further and further behind.

• Private: 

Tutoring is done one-on-one with the tutor in a quiet, distraction-free office. No two students with dyslexia learn at exactly the same pace. One-on-one instruction allows each student to proceed at their own ideal pace.

• Students: 

Our students are are typically in elementary school between ages 6 and 12, however the Barton System can be used with teenagers or even adults who struggle sounding out words and reading. Students do not need a formal diagnosis of dyslexia to participate.
